My name is Kate Mudgett and, as you can see, this is my first post in my new blog called “Missionary Heart.” I have already begun to journey down an amazing path that God has lead me to in my life. Starting September 14th I will begin Intake at Family Missions Company (FMC) to start my formation to become a full time missionary for the Roman Catholic Church! Now, a lot has happened and will be happening in a short period of time, so, here is my timeline of events:
- June 2015 Applied to become a missionary with FMC
- END June 2015 Moved back into parents home
- July 2015 Accepted into Intake FMC 2015
- September 10th 2015 Begin road trip to Big Woods
- September 13th 2015 Arrive at Big Woods
- September 14th 2015 Intake Begins
There you have it; My FMC timeline of events! Not only have I been blessed by this amazing journey towards Intake, but also I have been given many opportunities this July to grow in my faith and serve God. July 10-12 2015 I was a chaperone for my church's, Saint Martin de Porres Catholic Church, youth ministry trip to Ave Maria University’s youth conference ABLAZE. I received the opportunity to minister directly to 9 of our youth and witness over 750 high school teens experience God in a personal way. The following weekend, July 17-19 2015, I was a member of Catholic Servant Ministries Mercy Crew at the Steubenville Florida youth conference LIMITLESS. This was my 5th year serving in fellowship with young adults to over 2,100+ high school teens. This upcoming week, July 27-August 1 2015, I will be chaperoning two of my graduated seniors to Lifeteen’s Camp Hidden Lake in Georgia! I am so blessed with the opportunities that my home parish has provided me to participate in. God’s blessings are abundant and his reassurance in my call to service has left me at peace.
