Up on that glorious mountain where creeks were running and the hum of bugs were ever prevalent there was no cell phone service. For many, including myself, some adjustment was certainly necessary. I ended up leaving my phone in my room most days so that I wouldn’t find my hand wandering towards my phone to check some update or message that, inevitably, wouldn’t be there anyways. This week of “silence” helped me take a step back from the busy world of technology and learn to GLORIFY God whether it be in the silence of the chapel or the screaming of teens running through the mud pit.
Moving forward. The week of August 2nd-8th seemed kind of like an “in-between” week. It was my final week at my State Farm job. I continued to train my co-worker and search for God’s GLORY in all things. All of that and it finally brings us to where I am now. The three days of this week so far have been relaxing but have been busy in their own ways. I have quickly been working on dwindling down my “to-do” list to prepare for Intake, which has included some minor shopping, sorting out finances, writing letters, and organizing a meeting with my Priest. I have also got the opportunity to spend time with my mom this week before she starts back to school tomorrow August 13th, which has truly been a blessing.
As the title states, it is “the Final Count Down!” It will be a mere 31 DAYS until I plan on arriving to Big Woods and start my formational journey through Intake! Only ONE MONTH, But this whirlwind of a journey is not over yet. I am looking forward to updating you all very soon on how my preparation is moving along and know that I am praying for you all. Thank you for reading! God bless and peace.
1 Timothy 4:12
Let no one despise your youth, but set the believers an example in speech and conduct, in love, in faith, in Purity.
