Good afternoon and Peace of Christ
be with you all on this beautiful Sunday! I hope you all have had a joyful
week. Mine has been busy as usual; continuing to learn more about the teachings
of the church and building a deeper personal relationship with our Lord. The
ups and downs are all such blessings and the fellowship that I am forming with
fellow Intake members makes community living such a joy.
Now, I am not much of a writer and
I feel like I’ve been having some sort of “writers block” this week on what I
am going to talk about on this blog post. So, if you have any topics or ideas
of what you would like to read, please comment on my blog, or Facebook, so that
I can write about them for future blog posts.
Furthermore, I would like to know
your prayer intentions. I pray every day for the intentions of my friends and
family back home and I would love to pray for yours too. Please comment or email
me so I can include you in my daily prayers. For Saint John Chrysostom says:
“Prayer is the place of refuge for every
worry, a foundation for cheerfulness, a source of constant happiness, a
protection against sadness.”
Ourselves alone cannot provide those things for us on this
earth but with God we can be filled. In turn please keep all missionaries and
me in your prayers.
Moving
forward this week I will be preparing an apologetics talk on Purgatory and
presenting it during my teaching workshop. I look forward to being able to
share how it went with you next Sunday. Also, next Saturday and Sunday is
Family Missions Company’s PROCLAIM conference in Lafayette. We will be doing
lots of preparation to host our speakers and all those who are attending. If you
want to still attend I believe registration is still open you can go to www.proclaim2015 to learn more and contact
our Teresa in our office at 337-893-6111.
“Proclaim 2015 has something special for everyone: inspiring speakers,
children’s ministry, youth track, parish-oriented formation, and even family
pricing! Join speakers Peter Herbeck, Deacon Ralph Poyo, Fr. Nathan O’Halloran,
and Sarah Summers Granger at Proclaim 2015, where hunger for Jesus becomes zeal
for proclaiming the Gospel.”
So I think
that’s all I have to talk about today. I will be posting more pictures to
Facebook soon so make sure to check them out. Thank you for all your support.
Love you all!
God bless-
Kate Mudgett

example in speech and conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12
